The VHA Policies are contained in our Student Handbook, which is provided to each student, and, is available upon request. The Handbook includes information on refund policies, academic policies and grading, attendance requirements, dispute resolution procedures, and rules of conduct.

Advisory: Regulation of Homeopathy

At present, homeopathy is an unregulated profession in BC. Regulation is a complex process and locally, the West Coast Homeopathic Society of BC and the BC Society of Homeopaths are exploring the issues of regulation.

This course is designed to educate people about homeopathy. The Vancouver Homeopathic Academy makes no guarantee nor does it assert that anyone who graduates from this course will be government recognized to practice homeopathy.

We are, however, working with other organizations such as the North American Society of Homeopaths (NASH), and the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC) to create a strong homeopathic community. NASH is an independent professional body for trained classical homeopaths in Canada and the U.S. The CHC is a voluntary certification body that assesses homeopathic competency in Canada and the US. The registration requirements for NASH and CHC include a minimum of 500 hours of class lectures. The VHA programme exceeds this education requirement.

Academy Policies

The VHA is registered with the PCTIA which qualifies tuition fees for tax credits. As  PCTIA registrants, we are governed by their regulations for operation. A Student Contract is agreed to with each student, which covers information on fee schedules, refund policies, academic policies and grading, attendance requirements, dispute resolution procedures, and rules of conduct.

Homeopathic Education Organizations

The Academy is in consultation with the curriculum committees of the European and International Councils for Homeopathy (ECCH, ICCH); the Council for Homeopathic Educators (CHE); Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC); and North American Society of Homeopaths (NASH).
