Dr. Sunil Anand

anand

We are delighted that Sunil has come to share his vast experience with the Homeopathic community in Vancouver. Sunil will be with us until the summer of 2010 and during this time, he is offering monthly seminars for Homeopathic Practitioners.

Sunil has a wonderful presence that weaves through his cases and his teaching – he’s kind hearted, generous and sincere. But don’t just take our word for it – here’s what some others have to say:

“It was an absolute pleasure to watch Dr. Sunil Anand perceive a child’s case, and to see his gift of meeting a child where they are at. His teachings are rich and insightful. It is easy to learn from such a gentle and knowledgable homeopath, where every question is met with an open presence.” Heather Royal, VHA Graduate practicing in Squamish

“It is an outstanding experience to observe Dr Sunil Anand work with patients. His gentle, unobtrusive way with children and adults alike is beautiful to see. Cases unfold with natural flow and without his apparent intervention, yet one knows it is happening at the hands of a master. As a teacher he communicates his thoughts and insight with clarity, integrity and sensitivity. We are extremely fortunate to receive him in Vancouver. One cannot help but look forward to the future opportunity of learning from the expertise of Dr Sunil Anand.” Inge Burger, VHA Graduate practicing in North Vancouver

Sunil’s Background

Dr. Sunil Anand has been closely associated with a dynamic group of homeopaths from Mumbai known as the ‘Mumbai group’. This group includes such well known homeopaths as Dr. Rajan Sankaran and Dr. Jayesh Shah. Along with his colleagues he conducts several training programmes in refining case-taking techniques in homeopathy. They are part of a research group that teaches and updates their work and also offers quality education in homeopathy to students and doctors from all over the world. This organization is called Homeopathic Research and Charities.

His contribution in the field of teaching homeopathy at an individual level at two prime medical colleges in Mumbai and Pune has helped shape his role as an endearing teacher. He joined as a junior lecturer and over a period of fifteen years of teaching and conducting lectures for under-graduates as well as postgraduates, has risen to the designation of an Associate Professor. He has conducted specialized out-patient departments in pediatrics at both institutes and has been a very popular teacher.

His travel all over the world to conduct workshops, as well as see patients, gives him a definite edge in handling all kinds of cases with the required skill in prescribing and managing challenging cases.

His use of casual tools such as toys in the clinic as well as the enquiry into doodles and drawings made by his children patients provide wonderful insights for his creative and gentle handling of even cases with deep pathology. A visit to any of his clinics will further endorse the same with the display of such works of art by his dear patients.

He is artful in encouraging the family to pursue good quality homeopathic care while making them aware of the finer nuances of homeopathic management. He has a close working relationship with conventional doctors of all areas of specialty. Many of them consult him for treatment for themselves and their families as well as refer patients to him.

Sunil is excited to be in Vancouver and is happy to contribute to the growth of a vibrant and accomplished homeopathic community.
