High school graduation*, plus a minimum of two years at college or university level. (*NOTE: Applicants who have not achieved these academic requirements may apply under the Special Student Standing.)
A large part of the course is the assigned home study. It is necessary that you make sure that your life is such that you are able to find the time and be motivated for the required study. If your health is unstable and may cause difficulties with attendance, it is advisable not to start the course.
Successful completion of the previous year, PLUS:
For Year Two: successful completion of a recognized Anatomy & Physiology course. In-Class Course / Correspondence Course
For Year Three: successful completion of a First Aid and CPR course.
Proof of completion of these courses shall be included with your second and third year applications.
Pre-registration is required by June 1. Late applicants will be considered if openings still exist.
If you are applying as a special student (having not achieved the basic academic requirements for admission), please submit an essay describing your intention to apply yourself to the consistent study and hard work required for university level courses, as well as any personal qualities that would support your application. Indicate why your academic record does not reflect your true academic ability. Your essay should be typed, double-spaced and a maximum of 4 pages.
